Painting Class
Day 04
First project is painting from observation.
The original setting and the painting look a bit different because i took the image of the setting with the lights on and from a different angle.
I am quiet satisfied with what I have done so far, being my first ever oil painting.
getting the right tones is always hard. I guess that part of the process will always take time.
While I was blending I remembered painting with photoshop, the smudging hand, similar to it.
It is probably due on Sunday, which means we'll be spending the weekend in studio.
Second Project is choosing a painting with historical background that you wish to study it's style.
I chose Norman Rockwell's Girl Running with Wet Canvas. I love his work.
In order to transfer the image into the canvas we had to use the grid. Some say that we used this before. Well, not that i recall!
Grid wasn't that easy, but I'm so glad i learned how to do it. Others used the projector at that point.
We'll be starting this one next week, so It should be a blast.
End of Transmission ..
Fatma.
